Good judgement, built up over 20 years.
We started in 2006. In the two decades since, we’ve watched the technology change completely while the hard part stayed exactly the same.
The tools get more capable every year. What separates the firms that transform from the ones that stall is not the tooling. It's the judgement applied to it: knowing what to automate, what to protect, and where a human still has to hold the line.
We've been at the front of every shift that reshaped regulated business since - the web, mobile apps, NFC, APIs, and now AI – applying the same discipline to each.
We set up the UK's first customer innovation lab, inside a working London bank branch
Cash when you need it
We were behind Europe's first ATM-enabled emergency cash service (and won a Cannes Lion for it)
A Design of Note
We designed banknotes for RBS and Ulster Bank which are still in circulation today
We delivered three award-winning retail banking apps, each with a first-of-its-kind feature at launch
We launched the world's first clinically approved digital health and symptom checkers
Eyes on the prize
We were the first consultancy in the UK to deploy eye-tracking for Financial Services clients
The frontier moved. We moved with it.
We start from the outcome a business has to produce and design back to where AI belongs, where judgement stays, and what the firm knows that no competitor with the same models can replicate.
It's the same discipline we've applied for 20 years, now pointed at the hardest decisions a regulated business will make this decade. We hold our own work to it too: the AI we build for ourselves is governed the way we'd expect a regulated firm to govern theirs.
Our very first client, NatWest, is still with us today. In regulated business, that kind of trust is the credential that really counts.
